Be Blessed

If I write from my heart as I’m reading God’s word
And put into rhyme what for me I have heard,
Should my writings be private, or something I share?
Perhaps they’ll touch someone when I’m not aware.

I won’t dwell on discouragement, how I might feel.
It’s God I am serving, it’s His love that’s real.
No matter what others may happen to say,
It’s for God I am writing and sharing this way.

I’ll continue to share with the words that I write.
Perhaps I’ll help others be drawn to the light.
My words help express what I find in God’s word.
There will always be scoffers who say they’re absurd.

I pray there are some who find comfort and rest,
Are led to know Jesus and truly are blessed.
