If my rhymes are just read, only heard by a few,
Lord give me the wisdom to know what to do.
I don’t try to hide them beneath a big rock.
Is it time to slow down, reassess, and take stock?
Are the rhymes that I pen just a journal for me?
Should I really be sharing them, setting them free?
Should I still keep on reading, recording my sound?
If I read them aloud will a few gather ’round?
It does my heart good to write verses in rhyme.
Perhaps it’s too often, one poem at a time,
To share what I write and each verse I compose,
Instead, a bouquet, not just one single rose.
I’ll continue to write, and to read, and to pray,
I’ll seek the Lord’s guidance to show me the way.
Keep on John, I say keep on.
Please keep writing as the Lord directs. I read every one even in this busy time we’re having and they encourage me every time. Your Quiet Time Rymes are on my bedside table too. Thanks so much for sharing these encouraging thoughts.
