The last remaining days of spring
Cool mornings wain but still I cling
I hold them close and keep them near
Soon say goodbye, come back next year
In summer days with scarce a breeze
I’ll find a shade beneath the trees
To watch the squirrels and rabbits play
When summer’s heat is here to stay
As I watch spring fade into past
Sometimes reflect “Is it the last?”
And if I knew, what would I change?
Do I have things to rearrange?
Lord help me cherish each new day,
And fill my heart with words to say.
