The words I place upon the page
Don’t ask about degrees or age,
If I’m a novice or a sage,
Just if the words I share are true.
Words can be twisted, made to lie.
I’m always careful, always try,
Make sure my words don’t go awry,
Just keep them honest, fresh, and new.
Will words be loving, gentle, kind
Inside this body, soul, and mind?
What’s undiscovered still to find?
Perhaps some seeds took root and grew.
I pray the words that I accrue
Will lift your heart when shared with you.
