I cannot determine the length of my life,
Nor have much control of the size of the strife.
My focus instead is the depth of my soul.
In the days that I live, that’s within my control.
As I reach out to others my soul can expand,
Find ways to touch others, extending my hand.
Not all will respond but at least I can try.
On this journey through life, love’s not something we buy.
A spring that is flowing from deep in the ground,
A love that’s refreshing, how soothing the sound.
I pray I share love from the depths of my heart,
Reflecting the Lord who will never depart.
I pray you find love in the words that I write,
A sprinkle of wisdom, a dash of insight.
