Life’s Path

August 13, 2021

Another notch upon life’s belt,
They seem so close together now.
Don’t know the years that I’ve been dealt,
Don’t know the day, not when or how.

I’ll try to live my life today
As though this day ends up my last.
Make sure the words I have to say
Reflect God’s love when I have passed.

Passed through the veil, immortal life,
A life without the bounds of time,
Not weighted down by age or strife,
Behold the beauty of sublime.

This earthly life I’m passing through
Is just a path to something new.
