The earth must be watered. The rain clouds must form.
Sometimes they’re torrential and come in a storm.
I pray once more sunshine will push through the clouds,
That the fog will be lifted, no longer a shroud.
In the midst of the struggles that life brings my way,
Your Word brings me comfort and helps me to pray.
It gives me perspective and helps me renew.
It helps me see clearly and broadens my view.
I pray for Your guidance each day that I start.
I pray that Your Word will take root in my heart.
So many are hurting, alone and depressed,
Still searching for answers, confused and distressed.
I pray I can focus on others in need,
Find ways to bless them in word and in deed.
I pray that the joy in my heart will show through,
Shine Your light upon others that they can smile too.
