Should words be hidden out of fear?
Afraid to share what I hold dear?
I’m up in age, more apt to share.
The more I grey, the less I care
What people think of words I write.
Just share my heart, let in the light.
Who am I to lock inside
My words in fear, and let them hide?
If words can help someone in need,
They should be written down and freed.
If others see what’s in my heart,
Are touched by words I can impart,
It’s worth the risk to open wide,
Let others see what’s there inside.
The good, the bad, the ugly too,
I do my best the share what’s true.
