For over a year I’ve been sharing in rhyme.
They grow in the silence of my quiet time.
Most mornings in darkness I read, and I pray,
Then jot down a poem to start off my day.
I enter each line in the Notes on my phone,
Then on the computer I edit and hone.
I read them aloud and record in my voice
So others can read them or listen, their choice.
I pray that by casting them out in a post
Perhaps they’ll reach others who need them the most.
I also compile them, release as a book,
As some prefer pages to turn as they look.
When this plague is behind us and I’m free to roam,
Perhaps I’ll share poems in some nursing home,
Find places to share them with people in need.
I pray God will bless it; I’ll follow His lead.
