I come to you dear Lord and pray.
My spirit needs a hug today.
I know someday I’ll see your face.
I’ll feel the warmth of your embrace.
You came to earth, you made a way
For me to live with you someday.
You sent your Spirit to reside
Inside my heart to lead, to guide,
To give me comfort, strength, and peace.
I know your love will never cease.
Renew my faith, help me to look
Not at the news, but in your Book.
I pray each day I know you more.
You give me strength, each day restore.
Lord you’re our hope in troubled days.
