Your Word

May 18, 2020

I thank you Lord for quiet time,
A time to write my prayer in rhyme,

To open up my heart to You,
To read your Word and seek what’s true.

Your Holy Spirit still reveals
New truths each day that your Word yields.

The nourishment I need each day
To grow, to learn, for this I pray.

I pray your Word grows in my heart
Until I leave, this earth depart.

Your word is truth, it gives me life,
Delivers peace in times of strife.

I pray your Word takes root in me,
To guide my path and help me see.

The needs are great throughout the land.
I don’t know why, don’t understand.

I look to you; Lord help me learn.
Reveal your truth, help me discern.

Then help me Lord, that I may share,
Lift up your hope, defeat despair.

Help others find your Word is true.
Help others know and follow you.
